Manage your reputation with social media
If you are not putting your business out there on social media right now, you're probably missing out on some at least four top listings in the major search engines. Social media sites are now ranking higher than any other kind of web property.
As you know, managing your brand's online reputation is directly proportional to the number of top listings you have in the search engines. If you don't gain top billing for your target keywords - someone else will. And painful as it is to admit, someone else is often a competitor or, worse, a critic, of your brand.
Simply put - you can no longer manage your brand's reputation effectively while ignoring social media. You MUST develop a corporate identity on the major social media sites such as MySpace, Facebook, YouTube, WordPress, etc.
Just as with domain names, the early bird will get the worm. Make sure you create MySpace.com/YourBrand before someone else does. There are social media squatters just as there are domain name squatters who would rob you of your preferred name. Don't let them. Act now!
You wouldn't let someone else right your ad copy, so why would you let other people write about your brand and control the conversation on social media?
It's time to bring your brand to the masses through social media. Trust us - this is one party you don't want to miss.
