New PMA board members have been selected

The Performance Marketing Association has just announced the newest additions to its board of directors, including incoming President Brook Schaaf.

The newest Platinum level officers are:

* Jason Spievak, RingRevenue
* Kim Riedell, CJ
* Kristin Hall, Google
* JJ McCarthy, Ebay

And the newest Gold level board members are:

* Karen Garcia
* Scott Jangro
* Brook Schaaf – incoming president

The next phase will be for the incoming president and 6 newly elected board members to nominate 2 at-large members, bringing the board to a total of nine members. The final seated 9 member board will then choose a secretary, treasurer and president-elect. The elected board will meet this week to choose the at-large members. The fully seated board will be in place by September 13.

PMA debuts CA affiliate nexus tax video

The Performance Marketing Association has produced a video, “Faces and Voices: We Oppose the California Affiliate Nexus Tax,” featuring affiliate marketers who speak out about how devastating the tax would be to our industry.

Available on DVD and YouTube, the video is now being distributed to California lawmakers in advance of the vote on this issue at month’s end.
The video features a number of affiliate marketers including Schaaf-PartnerCentric CEO Brook Schaaf, who was just elected President of the PMA Board of Directors, a post he assumes in September. Others featured on the video include:

Mike Allen of Shopping-Bargains joins our podcast

AffSpot.com Administrator talks shop in affiliate podcast

Affiliate Marketers Give Back with Walk for Breast Cancer

Schaaf-PartnerCentric CEO Brook Schaaf will join Team Affiliate Marketers Give Back to walk 39+ miles during the 2010 Avon Walk for Breast Cancer June 5-6 in Chicago. The team has raised more than $52,000 so far in support of breast cancer research.

Each team member is required to raise at least $1,800 in donations. Brook raised $2,005 in donations to fight breast cancer, a disease which continues to exact far too great a toll on the human race.

Peter Bexelius has a long and illustrious history in affiliate marketing. He then joined the eBay team at CJ as account manager, working on the eBay portfolio of international programs as well as various eBay properties including PayPal, ProStores and StubHub. He managed the eBay team at CJ until the launch of the eBay Partner Network.
